Who is ACT?

Allied Communities of Tarrant (ACT) is a multi-faith, multi-ethnic, non-profit organization that serves as a vehicle for families to realize their interests and give meaning to their values.

ACT provides the “space” for a diverse group of citizens to come together and negotiate the interests of their communities and create a common agenda that all can support.

ACT strengthens congregations, schools and neighborhoods by reconnecting them both internally and throughout the community. The issues identified come out of the member congregations. Some of the interest areas w
e work with include education, workforce development, healthcare, housing and immigration.

ACT is part of the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the West / Southwest IAF and the Network of Texas IAF Organizations.  There are over 65 affiliated organizations in the United States and the UK.
